Swing at an Early Music Wedding? Weddings take us all over the country to interesting venues including old factories, amazing country houses, island hotels etc but i don’t think any of us have ever played swing in a church before! Thankfully that all changed when Eleanor and Matthew asked us to play the evening reception at their wedding at The National Centre for Early Music in York. The brilliant open plan of a large church is more used to the serene tones of choral choirs singing Byrd and Tallis. However a great acoustic works for all music including repertoire fav’s ‘Bring me Sunshine’ for the bride and groom’s 1st dance. Sing Sing Sing with our beefy tenor sax leading the way and plenty other classic swing and swing versions of pop songs. Thanks for having us and we look forward to coming back soon!

Thanks to Louise Pawson at Foxtail Photography for the amazing photo’s.
